Pilates, named for its founder, Joseph Pilates improves flexibility, builds core strength and develops control and muscular endurance. It is a whole body exercise emphasizing proper alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. It has been proven to reduce chronic lower back pain and improve posture. Pilates' system allows for modifications so that anyone, at any age, from beginner to advanced may practice. This a mat pilates class, from the original teachings of Joseph Pilates. One hour.
Bridgette Campbell is a graduate of UCLA’s Fitness Instructor Program and a certified personal trainer with American College of Sports Medicine. She was formerly a dancer with New York City Ballet. Her 14 years of experience include personal training and group exercise; TRX, yoga and Pilates. Her clients range in age from teenagers to seniors and she carries special certifications in injury prevention and rehabilitation for tennis players, swimmers and dancers.
